Model truth gap
The coloured polygons are screening footprints. A proper flood surface should grow from terrain cells using LiDAR flow direction, accumulation, slope, saturation, land cover, buildings, walls, culverts, drains and known blockages. That is the next engine: a slow step-through runoff animation from hillside source areas to downstream receptors.
